EXPERIENCED PRIVATE CHEF WITH NUTRITION QUALIFICATION REQUIRED IN CHELSEA

A UHNW family of four based in Chelsea are seeking a highly experienced Private Chef who also holds a recognised professional qualification in nutrition. Both elements are essential for this position: the successful candidate must have a strong professional culinary background alongside formal nutritional knowledge and be confident combining the two within a private family setting.
  
The household consists of two principals and two children, aged nine and 16. The Chef will take responsibility for the family’s weekday dining, preparing lunch and dinner Monday to Friday, with exact working hours to be agreed. The family are looking for someone who can produce exceptionally high-quality food while ensuring every meal is nutritionally balanced and tailored to the individual requirements of each family member.
  
This is first and foremost a Private Chef position, and candidates should be accomplished chefs capable of producing varied, beautifully prepared and flavourful food. Alongside their culinary expertise, they must be able to apply their nutrition qualification practically when developing menus, adapting ingredients and portions, and accommodating specific dietary requirements and nutritional goals for both adults and children.
  
The Chef will have full responsibility for menu planning, ingredient sourcing, shopping and the day-to-day organisation of the kitchen, using fresh, seasonal and excellent-quality produce wherever possible. There is no requirement for table service.
  
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Preparing high-quality, fresh and nutritious lunch and dinner for the family each weekday
• Creating varied weekly menus that combine excellent cooking with sound nutritional principles
• Tailoring meals to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional goals
• Adapting dishes and portion sizes appropriately for adults and children
• Following agreed dietary or healthcare guidance accurately
• Managing allergies, intolerances and dietary restrictions with careful attention to cross-contamination
• Sourcing fresh, seasonal and high-quality ingredients
• Managing food shopping, kitchen stocks and ingredient rotation
• Ensuring meals are appropriately stored, labelled and ready to serve or reheat when required
• Maintaining excellent kitchen organisation, cleanliness and food-hygiene standards
• Liaising with the family and wider household team to ensure dining arrangements work seamlessly around their schedules

  
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Significant professional experience as a Private Chef, ideally within UHNW or private family households
• A recognised professional qualification in nutrition – essential
• Strong culinary training and excellent technical cooking skills
• Proven ability to produce restaurant-quality food alongside healthy, family-focused meals
• Demonstrable experience applying nutritional knowledge to menu planning and everyday cooking
• Excellent understanding of nutrition for both adults and children
• Experience catering for specific dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances
• Ability to create healthy, balanced food that remains varied, appealing and full of flavour
• Excellent allergen awareness, food-safety and food-storage knowledge
• Confident managing menus, sourcing and a private kitchen independently
• Flexible, organised and receptive to the family’s preferences and feedback
• Discreet and professional with a strong understanding of private household environments
• Strong, checkable references
• Willingness to obtain a DBS check
