FAMILY HOUSEKEEPER/COOK REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY IN CENTRAL LONDON
A lovely UHNW family are looking for an experienced and versatile Family Housekeeper to provide hands-on support across their Central London residences. This is a varied, long-term position for someone who enjoys being part of family life and is happy to assist wherever needed.
The Housekeeper will generally work Tuesday to Friday at the family’s Mayfair residence, with either Saturday or Sunday spent at the Notting Hill home approximately three weekends per month. The family can offer between 20 and 35 hours per week and have some flexibility for the right candidate.
Alongside maintaining excellent housekeeping and laundry standards, the successful candidate will act as a reliable additional pair of hands across the household. This may include providing cover when other Housekeepers are on holiday or unwell, helping during busier periods, running errands and supporting the wider household team.
The family would also like someone who is a confident home cook and comfortable preparing breakfasts as well as occasional simple, fresh family meals. There may be opportunities to travel with the family to their other residences in the UK or Europe, although travel is not guaranteed or an essential part of the position.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and presentation standards across the family’s London homes
- Full laundry and garment care, including handwashing and delicate fabrics
- Providing additional housekeeping cover during holidays, sickness or particularly busy periods
- Preparing breakfasts and occasional simple family meals
- Keeping bedrooms, living spaces and household areas organised and well presented
- Running errands and assisting with household shopping
- Supporting household organisation and monitoring supplies
- Confidently operating household technology and appliances
- Assisting the wider household team wherever additional support is required
- Occasional travel to the family’s other residences where mutually agreed
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Minimum five years’ experience within high-end private households
- Excellent hands-on housekeeping and laundry skills
- Confident home cook, comfortable preparing breakfasts and simple family meals
- Flexible and genuinely willing to help wherever required
- Proactive, practical and able to work independently
- Comfortable providing cover for other household staff when needed
- Discreet, trustworthy and respectful of family privacy
- Positive and collaborative approach to working within a household team
- Strong spoken English
- Flexibility to work approximately three weekends per month
- Right to work in the UK
- Excellent checkable references
