LIVE-IN EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER / FAMILY ASSISTANT FOR UHNW FAMILY IN THE USA
LIVE-IN EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER / FAMILY ASSISTANT FOR UHNW FAMILY IN THE USA
We have a unique opportunity available for a trustworthy and reliable Executive Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support a private international UHNW family on a live-in basis. This is a varied and trusted position focused primarily on the smooth running, organisation and presentation of the family’s home in Massachusetts, as well as providing practical support for their pre-teen son. The role is split between the family’s property in Massachusetts during term time and their home in The Hamptons during school holidays, with live-in accommodation provided at both homes.
The ideal candidate will have the practical, hands-on approach of an excellent Executive Housekeeper, combined with strong organisational and Family Assistant skills. Reporting to the family’s Chief of Staff and managing a part-time housekeeper/cleaner in Massachusetts, you will support the wider team in The Hamptons during school holidays. Responsibilities will include maintaining household stocks and inventories, coordinating suppliers and contractors, running errands, assisting with household administration and ensuring that everything required for the smooth running of the home is anticipated and taken care of.
As part of the role, you will be responsible for the child’s morning school drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups during term time, as well as supporting him when he is at home. The family are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and who will take the time to develop a warm, natural and lasting relationship with him – he will be attending boarding school in the future, so having a familiar and trusted person within the household who knows him well and is a consistent point of contact is particularly important to the family.
Working predominantly Monday-Friday, the role is book-ended around the school day, so will include earlier morning starts and a later finish to ensure the home is reset after dinner, with a break during the day. The successful candidate should be someone who naturally notices what needs doing and takes ownership of getting it done, as well as being a confident driver.
