LIVE-OUT HANDYMAN/GROUNDSMAN REQUIRED FOR UHNW SURREY HOME

A lovely ultra-high-net-worth family based in Virginia Water, Surrey, are seeking a full-time Handyman/Groundsman to join their team. Working closely with the contract gardeners and wider household team, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptionally high standards across the gardens, grounds and exterior of the property, while also undertaking a broad range of household maintenance, driving, pet care and general support duties.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated and capable of using their own initiative whilst following the standards and routines established by the House Manager and family. The family are looking to hire a dedicated, knowledgeable and personable candidate with a team player mentality to remain with them long-term. Hands on gardening experience and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful gardens is highly desirable, though the role requires someone who is happy to get stuck in with a range of other DIY and ad-hoc duties in and around the house.

Working from 8am-5pm from Monday to Friday, some flexibility will be required to assist with the odd weekend event when the family are entertaining – advance notice will be given on these occasions and time given back in lieu. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, have their own reliable transport and live within a commutable distance of Virginia Water.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Maintaining driveways, patios, decking, walkways, sports lawn and other external areas
General household maintenance and basic DIY tasks
Daily pool cleaning, water quality and operational checks
Cleaning external air conditioning units, outdoor furniture, lighting, kitchen, garages, pool house and other exterior features
Routine external property inspections and gutter clearance
Ad hoc driving duties including airport and station collections and local errands
Ensuring family vehicles are serviced, maintained and presented to a high standard
Receiving deliveries, greeting visitors and supporting the household with general errands
Walking the family dogs and taking them to physio visits when required
Assisting with seasonal tasks such as pot displays, leaf clearance, planting and irrigation
Watering plants and taking out the bins
Operation and routine maintenance of garden machinery and tools
Assisting with beekeeping (training available)
