REMOTE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO DIRECTOR OF PRESTIGIOUS EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE
REMOTE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO DIRECTOR OF PRESTIGIOUS EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE
A prestigious international educational organisation is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to its Director. This is an opportunity for a highly capable, polished and intellectually curious professional to work closely with the leadership of an organisation dedicated to academic excellence, critical thinking and independent scholarship.
The role requires outstanding organisational skills, impeccable written and spoken English, and the confidence to liaise with senior academics, professors, distinguished professionals and high-profile individuals. The successful candidate will be a trusted right hand to the Director, bringing sound judgment, discretion and a proactive approach to managing a demanding and varied workload. Occasional domestic travel will be necessary to support residential programmes, as well as some international travel, typically for a few days rather than the full duration of each programme.
The core working week is Monday to Friday, however, given the international nature of the Institute’s activities and the Director’s schedule, a degree of flexibility and responsiveness outside standard working hours will be required. This role would suit an accomplished, degree-educated Executive Assistant who combines excellent executive support skills with intellectual confidence, professionalism and the ability to operate comfortably at the highest level.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Support the Director in managing priorities and progressing projects across multiple time zones and jurisdictions
- Prepare briefing materials and itineraries, accompany him on international business trips and attend selected residential programmes worldwide
- Maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including faculty, donors, partners, parents and alumni, handling confidential matters with discretion
- Manage the Director’s inbox, prioritising correspondence and drafting responses for approval or replying independently where appropriate
- Prepare polished letters, acknowledgements and professional communications, exercising sound judgement when acting on his behalf
- Translate priorities into actionable plans, coordinating colleagues and external partners while tracking deadlines, decisions and follow-up actions
- Organise and host events ranging from private lunches to formal gatherings, and coordinate thoughtful gestures to maintain important professional relationships
- Coordinate with bankers, lawyers, tax specialists and investment advisers, supporting transactions, property matters and international compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate records and ensure financial and legal matters are followed through promptly
- Manage a complex calendar spanning professional and personal commitments
- Arrange international travel, including flights, accommodation, ground transport, visas and detailed travel packs, ensuring all engagements are thoroughly prepared and run smoothly

- Outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage complexity, anticipate needs and operate effectively with minimal supervision
- Excellent judgement, discretion and emotional intelligence, together with a calm, solutions-focused approach and meticulous attention to detail
